Creating Change Mindsets
We were asked by the Head of Supply Chain in Ornua (formerly the Irish Dairy Board) to help his team of 35 to think differently about change – from it being a 'point in time' project to something that they should consider as part of how they work every day.
We worked with the senior team to create an interactive half-day session in which we explored the concept of change and its impact on people. We also introduced them to a number of tools and techniques they could use to think about how they view change and what they needed to do to approach it more positively
Leadership & Change Culture
The financial services sector is going through significant change at the moment. The impact of automated solutions on transactional banking coupled with increased competition from traditional banks and small, nimble, fintech startups, means that staff need to be more open to change than ever before.
We were asked by the Head of Branch Banking to run a session on change in a digital world for 30 branch managers. Working with the senior team, we created and ran an interactive and fun session that explored change, looked at why change mindsets are so important and explored their roles in creating change cultures in their branches.
Making Credit Policy more accesible
The credit team in Ulster Bank often complained of having to return applications as they weren't in line with the bank's lending policies. This caused frustration for relationship managers and credit staff; and resulted in a poor experience for their customers.
Over a period of 12 months we helped the Credit Policy Team identify key issues in communicating policy information. We then created a number of initiatives to raise the profile of credit risk, make documents easier to find and understand; and create a culture in the bank that was more policy aware.
When AIB changed its strategy, we knew that helping people leaders and managers to understand it was key to embedding it with 10,000 staff across the bank. Working with the CEO, exec team and a senior steering group we created a Strategy Roadshow series.
Over a three week period the CEO and exec team hosted 28 events for 3500 people leaders and managers. The format of the events created a more intimate conversation that allowed the senior team to really understand issues on the front line of the bank.
