Medmark
Creating one shared culture.
Medmark offers specialist occupational health and medical advice to both employers and employees. With offices in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway, Waterford and Sligo they provide occupational health and medical services throughout Ireland to diverse clients, from sole traders, through to large multinationals.

The challenge:
Medmark has experienced significant growth since 2020 and with a rapidly expanding workforce, a new operating model, and a new strategy, they asked Inspiring Change to help them define their culture ambition, measure their current culture and create new organisational values that would support their future journey.
What we did:
We worked with the senior leadership team to develop an aligned ambition for the desired culture and a deep understanding of the culture today. We also developed values as the foundation of the shared culture for the organisation.
Specifically, we:

Ran leadership workshops to define the culture ambition, gather their input on the required values and behaviours.

Completed a culture diagnostic (using the Denison Organisational Culture Survey) which was sent to all employees.

Ran employee workshops online and in-person to explore the culture and the values qualitatively.

Wrote a comprehensive culture report with all findings relating to the culture as well as a set of actionable insights and recommended next steps.

Developed a set of core values and behaviours for the organisation based on the input of the leaders and employees.

Created a launch event for employees to introduce the new strategy, the culture findings, and the new values and behaviours. This was an informative and engaging event which included information sharing and interactive exercises.

Supported and coached leaders to tell compelling values stories at the launch event in a way that brought the values to life for employees.
The outcomes:

A high engagement rate with the survey and employee workshops which ensured that employees were included and heard in the process of defining the culture, the new values, and the change needed as they moved forward.

An aligned leadership team that understands the challenges and strengths in the culture today and who have a shared vision for the desired culture and clear direction for how they’ll develop it.

A set of organisational values and behaviours that support the goals and strategy of the organisation.
