disciplines behind Inspiring Change's approach
Simon has a rich tapestry of means so as to offer you a flexible and whole approach to meeting your needs, for secure and consolidated long term change. Simon will tailor aspects of the following practices in the coaching sessions with you...
focusing
Focusing offers a non-threatening and safe means of becoming more intimate with your inner landscape, essential for greater self awareness and deeper change.
This approach was developed by Eugene Gendlin in the sixties. Simon has been practicing Focusing since 1992, and has recently enjoyed meeting Eugene on a Focusing event in New York early 2008.
nonviolent communication
Simon is a certified cnvc Trainer. This international discipline offers a deep approach to connection in all areas of your life, especially effective for restoring and developing those relationships important to you.
Marshall Rosemberg developed this process, again in the sixties, that is now used all over the world, especially in key peace processes.
neuro-linguistic programming
The NLP approach was made famous by a couple of American graduates Richard Bandler and John Grinder who modelled the best practice of leading therapists, including Milton Ericson and Virginia Satir, in the seventies.
Aspects of NLP can be remarkably useful in offering a means of creativity and inner resources, especially around the subtle use of language in ‘self talk', leading to big personal shifts.
developmental behavioural modelling
DBM was pioneered by John Mcquirter of Sensory Systems. Processes in DBM allow for an approach to being more appreciative and respecting of your outlook on life, and your way of doing things, and helping to dovetail these innate strengths into resources for your new directions.
meditation and stress management
Giving you the ability to relax and to bring you relief and ease is an option you can opt for as part or all of the coaching sessions.
meditation classes
Mediation classes are being run weekly in Belmullet, Westport and Ballina.
spiritual perspective
As an ordained member of the Western Buddhist Order, Simon has a gentle human spiritual perspective that gives him the means to empathise and be fully present with you in all your ups and downs.
Simon carries no religious agenda and fully respects your own outlook in life, with a view to offering you means to enhance and develop your own approach, if you so choose.
